Roman Latkovic (director, writer)

There is a bridge in between San Diego and Tijuana, a bridge that takes you from the U.S. to México. I often stand on that bridge, not crossing it to either side of a border; just standing there, having no idea where do I belong. Displaced in the place where the Devil dwells and angels sing in unheard voices.
SCREENPLAYS
This dark comedy prompted Professor Richard Walter (UCLA Screenwriting Chairman) to write: "I found myself enchanted with the dark narrative you twisted (a hallmark of your brilliance) that your hero struggles against for the greater good. It is such a bleak world, and your writing talent teases us with hope, the possibility of life returning to what it once was, but alas, it is not to be. The tragic ending you have written really packs an emotional punch. In my humble opinion tragic endings are usually the best choice because they always leave a mark on the audience where as a happy ending might be forgotten as soon as you exit the theater. Super job!"
BEYOND is a thriller set on the slopes of the lost city of Machu Picchu, a journey through the arcane Inca's world in which two lovers struggle mightily to reunite after one of them was killed.
This is a love story that teaches us how only love as as strong as death.
Professor Richard Walter whom The Wall Street Journal calls “the prime broker for Hollywood's hottest commodities, new writing talent," had this to say about BLACK MONDAYS: "Our students enjoy preposterous success: three Oscar nominations in the past three years, two Oscars, ten projects just for Steven Spielberg. Scripts cross my desk regularly submitted by writers from beyond our campus. Most of these are not up to the level of our Westwood screenwriting warriors, but an exception is BLACK MONDAYS by Roman Latkovic. Here is an extraordinary international thriller that is engaging from start to finish."
